Mission
The mission of the Bioinformatics Core Facility is to support the continuing research and education mission of The Wistar Institute Cancer Center, as well as other core facilities within the Cancer Center at Wistar.
The faculty and staff of the bioinformatics facility
- adopt and implement statistically rigorous computational models and bioinformatics software for systematic analysis of complex biological phenomena;
- provide consultation and cost-effective service to lab-based investigators;
- provide the access to the computational models and bioinformatics software (to our researchers);
- paticipate caBIG® project, and implement caBIG® infrastructure and tools.
